Aertszen, Aertsz) Pieter (Pier Lange) (1507/8—75).
Dutch painter, working
in Antwerp and Amsterdam, whose detailed and colourful genre and
still-life paintings were highly popular and also stylistically
influential on the 17th-C. Netherlands genre school. Many of his religious
paintings have been destroyed.
